Wii Sing It
Wii Sing It utterly rocks. Anyone with kids, buy it. (You have a Wii already, right? If not, go hang around outside a game shop until they beg you to take one away).

This is the most fun I've had with electronics since, well, um.

We've been playing a lot of Rock Band and Rock Band II in the office. Come and have a go next time you're in town.

What is it? I googled and discovered there's a Disney Sing It... is that what you're talking about?

There are two: High School Musical: Sing It! and Disney Sing It. They are karaoke games with gameplay based on Sony's SingStar. IGN: "if you've always wanted that SingStar experience on your Wii, but wanted less features and a catalog consisting mostly of Miley Cyrus in various wigs, your prayers have been answered."

I hadn't pegged Nick as a Disney Channel fan (maybe it's Esme?) but music games are generally ace regardless of the quality of the music.

Who needs features?

The one we've been playing is "Disney Sing It". And yes, Esme is the HSM/Camp Rock fan. The music is particularly well-suited for me, as there seems to be only one song which is in my register (the one by Miley's dad, whose name escapes me). All the others I have to sing in various kinds of falsetto, which adds splendidly to the hysteria. Which is the fun, at least when I play it. Also I only know about a quarter of the songs, and those only vaguely. Last night I was playing multi-player (duets and versus) with Leif, who also can't sing, and Joe and Esme as the audience. It was awesome.

Joe, of course, can sing. And Esme isn't bad, she's finding her voice. So they have a different sort of fun.
